Ladies Auxiliary - an association whose members are usually the wives of members of an association with which it is affiliated. (dictionary.com) An organization of women that is auxiliary usually to a men's fraternal or social organization. (Merriam-Webster Dictionary) The KC Ladies Auxiliary of Council 2917 are made up of wives, sisters, aunts, nieces, mothers and cousins of the Knights. We offer our help and support to the Knights whenever they are in need.
Here are some of the ways we help them out: • Special Olympics - Ladies help prepare and serve
the food. • Summer Fling - the Ladies donate two prizes for the raffle. The Ladies also bring desserts for the dessert booth. • Casino Night - the Ladies donate a raffle prize and sponsor a game table. The Ladies also prepare the food that is served. • Pro-Life Rosary - 4 times a year, the Ladies are in charge of refreshments after the rosary. • Celebrating Sisters - the Ladies help decorate the hall, prepare the “goody” bags and serve as hostesses. • Family Day - the Ladies provide dessert. • Memorial Mass - the Ladies provide dessert. • Adult Christmas Party - the Ladies help decorate the hall and provide desserts and snacks. In addition to the activities mentioned above, the Ladies operate the Bingo kitchen every Friday night. The profits from the kitchen are donated by the Ladies to different organizations each year. We are always in need of help on Fridays. You can work in the kitchen or donate a dessert. If you are able to work, it’s usually only about 3 hrs. (6:15 to 9:15 p.m.) If you are available to help, please call Kathy at (281-356-3535) or [email protected] Our annual fundraisers are: Summer Fling - We sell desserts and also have a Silent Cake Auction. Adult Christmas Party - We sponsor the raffle. Coushatta Casino Bus Trip The Ladies Auxiliary is a very active organization and we invite all Ladies who are related to a Knight of Council 2917 to join us. You will not be forced to do anything. Every activity is on a volunteer basis. You can participate as little or as much as you like.
